Guidelines for Submission of Manuscript

The following are the guidelines for authors wishing to send in their manuscripts for peer review and possible publication in JOCREBE:

Format:
The article files should be provided in the Microsoft Word format. Acceptable figure file types are listed further below.

Article Length:
Articles should be between 4000 and 8000 words in length. This includes all text including references and appendices. Please allow 280 words for figures and/or tables.

Structured Abstract:
Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission, set out 4-7 sub-headings which should have a maximum of 250 words:
Purpose (mandatory)
Design/methodology/approach (mandatory)
Findings (mandatory)
Research limitations/implications (if applicable)
Social implication (if applicable)
Originality/value (mandatory)

Key Words: Five key words

Figures:
All figures (charts, diagrams, line drawings, web page/screen shots and photographic images) should be submitted in electronic form. All figures should be of high quality, legible and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. Figures created in MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel and Illustrator should be supplied in their native format. Electronic figures created in other applications should be copied from the original software and pasted into the MS word document or saved and imported into MS Word document.

Tables:
All tables should be typed and included in the main body of the article. Each table should comprise three lines only and numbered consecutively throughout the article (with Arabic numerals) referring to them in the article as Table 1, Table 2 etc. with caption at the top of each table. Ensure that any subscript or asterisk are shown next to the relevant items and have corresponding explanations displayed as footnote to the table, figure or plate.

References:
All references to other publications must be in APA style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency. Publications should be cited in the text: (Adams, 2006) using the first named author’s name or (Adams and Brown, 2006), sitting both names of two, or (Adams et al., 2006) when there are three or more authors.

At the end of the paper, a reference list in alphabetical order should be supplied:

For Journals
Last name, Initial(s)., & Last name, Initial(s). (Year). Article title. Journal title, Volume Number (issue or part number if needed), page numbers.
e.g. Cable, M.T. and Ferguson, R. (2016). Loyalty to people in authority, Journal of Consumer Marketing, 22(2), 72- 80.

For published conference proceedings
Last name, Initials. (Year). Title of paper. In Initials editor’s last name (Ed.), Title of conference proceedings (pp. page range). Place of publication: Publisher.
e.g Borgman, C. L., Bower, J., and Krieger, D. (1989). From hands-on science to hands-on information retrieval. In J. Katzer, and G. B. Newby (Eds.), Proceedings of the 52nd ASIS annual meeting: Vol. 26. Managing information and technology (pp. 96-100). Medford: Learned Information.

For unpublished conference proceedings
Last name, Initials. (Year, Month). Title of paper or poster. Paper or poster presented at the meeting of Organization name, Location.
e.g. Ryan, R. M., & Openshaw, L. (2003, January). Flavour enhancement and public perceptions of health risks. Paper presented at the meeting of the Institute of Food Science and Technology, London.
